The SEO and Adwords Specialist opportunity is an on-site position that will require the applicant to live in the Triangle Area and be able to commute to the office.

SEO and Adwords Specialist Job Description:

Position Overview: As an SEO and AdWords Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving online visibility and traffic to the client’s website through organic search and paid advertising campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and proficiency in managing Paid AdWords campaigns to maximize our online presence and achieve marketing goals.

SEO and Adwords Specialist Job Responsibilities: 

  1. SEO Strategy and Implementation:
    • Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords and phrases.
    • Optimize website content, including meta tags, headers, and on-page content, for search engines.
    • Develop and execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve organic rankings.
    • Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.
    • Implement SEO best practices to enhance user experience and website speed.
  2. Paid Advertising (Google AdWords):
    • Create, manage, and optimize Google AdWords campaigns to drive targeted traffic.
    • Conduct keyword research to identify high-converting keywords.
    • Develop compelling ad copy and landing pages for ad campaigns.
    • Monitor and adjust ad budgets and bidding strategies to maximize ROI.
    • Perform A/B testing to improve ad performance and click-through rates.
    • Generate regular reports on ad campaign performance.
  3. Content Optimization:
    • Collaborate with content creators to align SEO and content strategies.
    • Ensure content is optimized for search engines, including proper keyword usage.
    • Perform content audits and recommend improvements.
  4. Technical SEO:
    • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues like crawl errors and site speed.
    • Implement schema markup to enhance search engine visibility.
    • Manage website redirects and ensure a clean site architecture.
  5. Competitor Analysis:
    • Monitor competitor websites and analyze their SEO and advertising strategies.
    • Identify opportunities to outperform competitors in search rankings and paid campaigns.
  6. Stay Up-to-Date:
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and best practices.
    • Continuously refine and adapt SEO and AdWords strategies accordingly.

SEO and Adwords Specialist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in SEO and Google AdWords management. – 2+ years
  • Technical SEO experience 
  • Client-facing experience – 3+ years.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Moz, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Google Ads certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) is a bonus.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, Analytics, and Search Console, such as setting up event tracking, filters, and segmenting data.
  • Experience with on-page optimization.
  • Intricate knowledge of organic best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with WordPress (WooCommerce, Shopify a plus!)
  • A passion for research, testing, and analysis.
  • Website conversion rate optimization.
  • Knowledge of and experience with identifying and solving indexing issues.
